David and Lauren currently serve as the JR/YR coaches for Area II. Along with their huge amount of experience, they bring an enthusiasm and dedication that will no doubt enhance any young rider’s experience.

While focusing on the goal of competing at the NAJYRC, the O’Briens carefully evaluate the skills and fitness of both horse and rider. Once evaluated, the young riders are put into a rigorous program designed not only to challenge their skill levels, but also their mental toughness.

The prep covers all areas and the riders will be able to train at world class courses in the Southern Pines community. Please call the farm for our next training session.

Since 1989, the US Cavalry Association has sponsored a trophy awarded annually to current Pony Club members who are the highest placed Pony Club participants in two day or three day events recognized by the USEF."

This award is based on all 2 and 3 day events from the 2007 season, and only the top rated competitor in each region receives it. There is a plaque with the engraved names of winners that is kept at US Pony Club headquarters.
